The extraction process is usually fairly straightforward; here’s what you can expect on the day of your procedure:
- First, we’ll numb your mouth so you won’t feel anything during your visit.
- Then, using a special dental tool, we’ll rock your tooth back and forth to loosen it from the ligament that holds it in place.
- Once it’s separated, we’ll remove your tooth from its socket, clean the area, and place stitches if you need them.
- To help a blood clot form, you’ll bite down on a piece of gauze for about 30 minutes or so.
- You’ll go home to rest and follow our instructions.
